Custom Lapel Pins › Hard Enamel Pins
Custom hard enamel pins feature a smooth, polished surface where the enamel sits flush with the metal. The result is a jewelry-quality finish that is durable, scratch-resistant, and ideal for corporate, recognition, and long-term wear.
Hard enamel pins are die-struck pins with color applied using a small brush or needle.
Thin metal lines separate each of the colors on your pin.
Hard enamel pins are heated to a high temperature and then polished, creating a bright, smooth, hard enamel finish.
For an embossed look where you can feel the texture of the design, select
soft enamel pins instead.
Compare: hard enamel vs. soft enamel pins
Hard enamel polished pins (aka, die struck pin w/hard enamel), are one of the highest quality pins available.
Custom hard enamel has brilliant colors, metal separated detailing, great durability with a polished
smooth and hard finish. 2.00" and larger pins have two 8mm spur nails on the back, while smaller pins have one.

Custom Hard Enamel Pin Questions
What makes custom hard enamel pins different from soft enamel?
Hard enamel is overfilled and polished so the color sits flush with the metal lines, creating a smooth surface. Soft enamel leaves the metal lines raised above the color for a textured feel.
Are custom hard enamel pins more durable?
Yes. The polishing and curing process makes hard enamel pins more scratch-resistant and longer-lasting than soft enamel, which is why they are often chosen for corporate and recognition use.
Is there a minimum order for custom hard enamel pins?
There is no strict minimum. A single sample is available, so you can order the quantity you need. Volume pricing applies at higher quantities.
