SERVICE ADVISORY: Nearly every US industry is still experiencing moderate challenges and delays within the global supply chain. These delays have also impacted factories with everything from critical raw materials to packaging supplies. While improvements occurred during 2022 & early 2023, is not expected to return to normal in the near term. We highly recommend you order your 2024 promo products now.
ORDERING TIPS: If you have an event and you know you're going, use the tips below and order early so that you don't find yourself in a jam down the road.
SHIPMENT CARRIERS: We are facing continued delays related to shipment carriers. We have noticed that all shipping carriers are currently moving more slowly than normal and have been for over two years. All carriers have modified or suspended many delivery Service Guarantees (UPS, FedEx, DHL, all). This means no delivery date (which their online systems still indicate) is guaranteed. This is expected to be more of an isse as we offically enter the holiday season. COVID-19: Most overseas pin, coin, etc factories are in China. December 2022 saw China suspend their ongoing mandatory lock down policy. This resulted in a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. Factories have reported staff shortages as workers get sick & stay home. The magnitude of this impact is on par with the COVID-19 impact seen in the US during 2020. Until it runs it's course, we expect factory staffing shortages as well as local shipping carriers staffing shortages in China. This will contribute to ongoing delays in production times.
2024 PRICING: Last item and it's a big one. Plan for all promotional products prices to go up significantly in 2024. In addition to the raw material shortages & shipping issues mentioned above, there are several other issues. Overseas factories have indicated they've been subjected to government power rationing for days at a time. Factory workers have increasingly been demanding higher wages. Many workers are still at home & many factories are predicting they will still not be fully staffed for some time. Plating costs have gone up due to material ingredients supply issues & costs. Domestic shipping and especially international shipping costs have all already increased.
